Virginia Real Estate Continuing Education Requirement:

Licensees must complete continuing education every two years by the end of their license issue month.

Topics required for Brokers (24 hours total):

1 hour legal emerging trends and updates, 1 hour real estate contracts, 1 hour real estate agency, 2 hours agent/broker supervision, 2 hours fair housing, 3 hours ethics and standards of conduct, 6 hours broker management, and 8 hours electives.

Topics required for Salespeople (16 hours total):

1 hour legal emerging trends and updates, 1 hour real estate contracts, 1 hour real estate agency, 2 hours agent/broker supervision, 3 hours ethics and standards of conduct, and 8 hours electives.
